what are you doing valentines day as a single?

thought rather sulk or whatever, thinking of sending non-romantic themed cards to my single friends with scripture and encouragement.

This day always has high expectations for people, and if you are not attached and hoping to be surprised, then it would be nice to be surprised in a different way

was wondering if anyone is thinking of doing the same??

One thing I was thinking of doing was signing CF guestbooks so no one feels left out.
Nothing romantic (except to one person) just something to say "I'm thinking of you".

That's a nice idea! I usually go out with my best single friend. I hadn't thought about surprising him with a card or something but will now.

btw, was going to do this annoymously, without my name on the card.

I think we all did this (esp, those who struggle being single) to other singles who we know are not going to be that happy wednesday, it gain some popularity and help everyone.

my plans are to write a myspace blog to encourage other christian singles and to write my testemony of how I met my future wife , ok so i havent met her, but I have been introduced to the concept of her. I had one of those spirit filled God moments in which i felt he was giving me peace about my future and i heard him say he had someone for me that would join me along the way. this was a year after a woman at my church told me that after parying for me she felt God had someone for me and was praying for that person to enter my life (this was one of the only times we had ever spoken).

after that ill probly go to class and then prayer in which i will try not to view my sisters in christ as anything but sisters, though its a real challenge sometimes to not pray beside a girl and think is she "the one".

Seriously though I don't know. I have to work so I will probably sleep during the day and go to work at night and be hurt as usual for the day of sorrow.

I don't really have any special plans. I might treat myself to something. I may be able to swing a trade for a better pistol. The project one I have right now is not one I would trust with my life. Spending money is not the most fulfilling thing, but sometimes it is good to treat yourself.

If I were to suggest a Christian activity, maybe reading some of the prophets because they are full of promises. Song of Songs(or Solomon) is on topic more than the prophets but perhaps painful so I would not suggest it. Prayer is a good activity at all times, but especially during painful times. I would also suggest maybe starting any self improvement projects you may have been putting off.
