  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nah, I'm not interested in the football.

Last night I watched 24. I was a bit naughty and stayed up to watch all of it. I was only supposed to stay up until just after 10. Then I end up staying up until 11:20.

So no wonder I am tired this morning. Emily woke up at 5:45. (cheeky lassy) She's been sleeping until at least 6:15 as a general guide, sometimes later. At least she went back to sleep, after around 1/2 hour of mummy assistance, some panadol, and bonjela (teething gel) she is teething you see. So I guess that's why she's awake, because she has toothache. Would be nice if she could tell me herself.

So I got a little bit more rest until around 7. However Daniel has got a blocked nose at night and is snoring. Sounds rather loud, like an old man ROFL. I have some saline nasal drops (it's only a bit of salt water really) that I have to remember to give him before he goes to bed. For some reason it is only blocked up at night, must be the cold air.

Ah well, for today, R is in Sydney. I'm a bit cranky, it's for work and all, so not like he is just going for fun for the day and leaving us at home, but the one time I get invited to go out with some female friends of mine, I can't go. All the mums from playgroup are going out tonight, leaving the kids at home with the dads and just getting out for some adult company and Chinese food. So the last time I did something like this was in 2002. (my SIL hens night, although I did leave before it got too rediculous) I have been out a couple of times with R since then, but not just out with the girls if you know what I mean.

So today R is in Sydney, I know he won't be home before around 8:30 ish, (if he gets in that early) so I am using today to get the house in order. Been a bit slack on the housework side of things. I should get off this computer and get back in to it I guess. I have already done a load of washing, and cleaned MOST of the bathroom, (just have to mop). When Em wakes up from her nap, I will finish vacuuming and do the kitchen. Then I might call it quits for the day. Take the kids to the park, then when all that's done, (she'll probably have another sleep this afternoon, particularly since she had a roughish night last night) and I will probably close my eyes and have a quick power nap while Dan is watching play school.

Ah, probably bored you all with the ramblings of a SAHM.

Tomorrow I am going to get down to Woden and go to Pixi photo because they took a photo of my kids a few weeks ago. I had a voucher to get a free sitting and photo. I hope the free one turns out to be good, because I'm not buying any. (I just bought a couple of Emily about a month ago, and don't need any of Daniel, he had his done last year, and still looks pretty much the same this year as he did last year, so won't worry about it. He'll get school ones taken next year anyway!)

Not to mention they are tooo expensive. 1 photo costs nearly the same as filling up our car, or a weeks worth of groceries. In fact it can be more than a weeks worth of groceries. I can do a weeks groceries for $50.00 if I don't buy nappies or much meat. I only need to buy nappies once a month if I buy a bulk pack, because she's only in disposables at night or if we go out for the whole day.

Again, this has become a bit of a ramble.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Aimz I'm always busy.

Yeah, if you lived in Canberra I'm sure you'd like my kiddies, and they'd like you. But........

Oh, I went to the doc yesterday for a checkup. Oooops, I need to lose some weight because my blood pressure is up pretty high. I knew I need to lose weight to get into my clothes again. Also to wear my wedding rings (that I haven't worn since I was around 3 months pg with Emily) and now the doc is telling me to lose weight, even 10 - 15 kg.

Ugh! So add another thing to my list of things to do. Ah well, at least the evenings seem to be getting lighter and as soon as R comes home from work (not tonight though) I can get out across the road and do a few laps of the grassy area there. It's not a proper oval but around the size of one.
