  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got to play 'office girl' today - barely left the office.

The case coordinator wanted to scrub today, so I just did her job - answered pagers, received theatre lists, discussed operations with patients who rang up, etc etc. Very cruisy for me! :)

Spent most of the day writing out the updated roles of the Coordination, Scrub and Scout nurse. Glad that's done.

Then did a bit of my selection criteria, and wrote in detail how I 'fulfilled' all of my assessment tools for an RN...

Today wasn't all that fun for me - we were preparing 2 rooms in the house (my bedroom and one of our other rooms that had heaps of junk and shelf units in it) for tiling tomorrow, which meant taking all the stuff out of my room (bookcase, shelves, desk and bed, plus items on them) and the junk room (too much paraphernalia to list). It was a headache trying to get one particular standalone wardrobe out of the room because it wouldn't fit through the doorway properly, so we had to shift it through the window. Some other stuff was a bit tough to squeeze through the doorway, but every single item in both rooms is scattered in the lounge room and TV room downstairs, and I get to sleep in the lounge room for the next 3 days (have been for the past 2 because Lauren stayed the night on Sat and we offered her my bed because we had a family friend staying over as well and she was on the sofa bed). So it's chaos in my house, the tiling gets done tomorrow and Wednesday, and I won't be back in my bedroom until Thursday...:sigh:

Hehehe...MOTH, you make it sound as if I shouldn't be sighing...:D It's just that the junk from our spare room requires sorting out to separate the real junk from the proverbial junk, and that will take forever...^_^
No, no, it's true, Kris, I kid you not! ;) Stuff at our place gets piled in one room while other rooms are undergoing renovations.....Then someone says they are coming to visit, then everything from the temporary 'storage room' has to fit into the other rooms, whilst undergoing paint jobs etc; all this to fit the visitors in......aaaah! It sounds confusing and it is! You sound like you're living in the early stages of what could become chronic! and long term! My advice? Nip it in the bud NOW!!!!!

Well, I've just got home from my psychologist appointment, now I'm off to organise some steak sandwiches for dinner, so I can eat before going out, and someone_else can eat in the car. She'll be home from work in time to pick me up and go out again. Off to see Star Wars in Gold Class, nice comfy chairs, YAY!! Much better than going to soccer training and running around in the cold night air.

Today I got up and left home fairly early (ie i left at 7am...) and yes rob, thats pretty late compared to you :p i know...

discovered that the closed reserve at uni didnt open until 9am, so i waited around a bit then borowed the subjects textbook for 2 hrs, which we'd pretty much been told we didnt need to buy - but had alot of stuff i kinda needed for the test.

got some marks back which i was quite happy with, did the test and came home.

tonight i've got to do some more uni work :sigh: but, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel... cause its all due on thursday! then i'm home free. heehee

jacqS Wow! I'm breathless, Perhaps you should post this on my thread about mums being forced out into the 'paid' workforce...... and just maybe (although I doubt it) some of the powers that be will recognise the value and contribution of our unpaid workforce (sahm&d's) into community life. I know it's a dream, but one can hope, hey!

easy - start it at 6pm and let it go til 9am the next day...

I really liked it. Being a burns nurse, I was hysterically laughing my head off at one bit where the rest of the theatre were all like WOW, but other than that - good 2 and a bit hours of escapeism...

Tomorrow I am scouting in urology and then scrubbing for a burns list (of skin cancers). Going to mum's after work to have dinner and watch the Origin...
