lol yep same hand.... its hard trying to work with it, as the bandages keep coming off due to sweat..... and i knocked it today and it opened up again.... :( going to the GP tomorrow to see if it will need stitches..

5mm's the sort of thing where stitches would be a must, I'd think. Whenever I think of medical bills, I sometimes wonder why I didn't pick that profession! ^_^

Anyway, I worked today and tonight, my parents hosted a BBQ with members of their Bible study groups and their families.

Oh Rob :( I'd give ya a big hug if I could! Just make sure that you get it better without too much trouble...

Today I slept in and lazed around. was great! I hired out some movies and watched them :D

I also booked appointments to see 3 different specialists in the next 6 weeks... I'm so glad that my parents still pay most of my medical bills... cause all up, before medicare/private healthfund rebates in total it'll be $640  Thats an expensive 2-3 hours! Don't worry though, I'm not sick or anything.. just some girly probs I need to sort out. Although, it amazes me how much it costs just to have an ultrasound... makes me wonder how people can afford to be pregnant.

Hope it sorts itself out soon. Girly problems are often the worst ones to have. :sigh:

As far as ultrasounds in pregnancy, I had a free one that was bulk billed and paid for 2 others. (the ones I paid for were done in the ob/gyn office and those were expensive) thank goodness for the medicare safety net. I take it you will be on the safety net now.

Most women only have 1-2 ultrasounds per pregnancy unless there are problems.

As for what I did today: Been opshopping, got a cute l/s shirt for Dan, it's got a polo collar and should be good for Autumn.

For Em I got some overalls with a cute little ruffle around the bottom. They are blue but still look girly. Some t-shirts and a sleeveless dress, it is yellow gingham with lace around the armholes. It's got a beehive on the front with some bees and flowers. Very cute.

Poor Dan has been missing out on clothes, seems I have to buy something for Em every month, whereas with Dan, he doesn't seem to need new clothes very often mostly once every season, if that. But then I remind myself that Em started off in 0000 and is now nearly in 0, so that's like 3-4 sizes in 7months, no wonder I am always buying her clothes, nothing new though - just can't afford it.

went to my GP today and he said it really shouldnt get stitches (as its been more than 24hrs since the cut) but he had a look at it and said wow that probably will need them... the only way he could do it was to reopen the wound (ie cutting out the skin that had started to grow back) and stitching it up... the funny thing is that i could feel everything even with a local anaesthetic (sp?) it hurt more than when i actually cut myself! lol ahwell atleast i wont keep reopening it while at work....

Well, I think that would have been safer than risking a nasty infection with such an open wound...:) I didn't get stitches when I sliced my finger, although the cut depth was probably similar to yours. I think that because it was on my finger I didnt think stitches would be necessary - can't recall whether I got it infected but considering the chisel was a bit on the old side I'd be very surprised if it wasn't slightly.

Today I watched a bit of cricket, did some rearranging in my room (I'm fixing up my bookcases and putting some of my uni texts into storage, plus creating some shelf space where I can put my DVDs, and it looks a little bit neater, if not less academic ^_^), and will be cleaning up a bit more tomorrow because I have Lauren coming over and the place shan't look like a sty...:D

Ouch, that is not nice. I know exactly how you feel because when I had my c-section the anaesthetic didn't work and I could feel them cutting into me. it's pretty awful.

i worked today... same old split shift... so in the middle of the day i spoke to my one of my best friends... and watched Coach Carter - which was a really good movie - i thought :)

after work tonight rang my other friend who i was supposed to be going to the movies with and postponed cause i've got a dodgy cold and still not feeling 100%... especially since we were planning on seeing a 9.20 movie!

so i'm just chilling at home tonight now :) will probably have a relatively early night to make up for the crappy nights sleep i had last night.

How's the hand doing, mate? :)

Today, after Lauren went home at about 11, I dropped my sister off at a friend's place, went into town for a little while and bought a couple of books (one of which was a $8.95 special and the blurb on the back cover looked reasonably entertaining), then watched the cricket this arvo, went to church and am watching some more cricket now :)
