  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi there,

I had a friend over for brunch (waffles, bacon and poached eggs - yum!). I did some grocery shopping, and now I'm finally getting my new CDs (from the past year) onto MD so I can play them when I bike to work.
Homegroup tonight, and then back to work tomorrow :(

been fixing my new car.. for the technical people: it blew the accessories switch fuse.. so i got a couple more (at $7ea) and hey both blew as soon as i turned the key to accessories.... so i figured i had a electrical short somewhere...... so outcomes the interior.. low and behole a wire had rubbed through on some metal (it was an accessories wire running to my boost guage) so i wrapped it in leccy tape and moved the wire away from the metal. i also rewired my stereo to make it neater. and sound better (the last owner did a real dodgy job wiring it up). but its all fixed now, and she's running again :) still need to put the interior back together.... but that comes tomorrow, and so does fitting a new front bumper i got for it. :)

What am I doing today? Hmmmm, been for a long walk, Daniel jumped in puddles. He's now got playdough out. Em's asleep (finally, she's been unsettled for 2 days running now, at least she's sleeping OK at night, just up and down like a yo-yo all day. Sleeping for half an hour, then a bit of grizzling, maybe a drink, then sleeping again, maybe the 6 week growth spurt a week late, who really knows)

Now just sitting on the computer trying to ignore the grime on the bath tub.

Today I've been doing a fair bit of uni work and got a nice start on one of my big assignments for the semester. I'm now finishing off a Power Point presentation and emailing it to one of the guys in the group I'm involved with so that he can include it with other information. :)

Got the nappies on the line, little one in bed, bigger one playing with cars and his little garage.

Checked out ebay for lego and also some baby toys (I like the Fisher price peekablocks but they are too expensive to buy new) I am leaning towards getting some lego for Daniel it is his birthday in around 3 months so I am starting to think and budget now.

Got a load of sheets to go on the line. Then that should just about cover my housework for today.

Hoping to go walking again this afternoon, it's a beautiful day here.

'On ya Neens! That sounds exhausting. Don't worry about the rings on the bathtub, they'll still be there tomorrow, heh! they're not important, IMO, You and your kids are!

no argument with me over the rings on the bathtub!!!! (mind you, mines usually full of dust, coz the kids usually get in the shower either with one of us, or alone ;) )

I have a quote by Phyllis Diller stuck up on my laundry door "Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shovelling the walk before it stops snowing!" I reckon that's good advice...the rings (or dust if thats what you've got!) will still be there tomorrow, but the opportunity to do things with your kids will be gone before we know it!
(JacqS's had a glass of port, and is sitting here all alone with no one to talk to coz hubby's at band practice - maybe I should start one of those 'blog' threads, then I could leave you all in peace ;)

ROFL about the bath tub.

I did get it done though.

Now just sitting around, feeling rather exhausted because Em was starting to sleep through the night, last night was a shocker. Also had to get up to Daniel too, because he had an ear ache. It must be bad, because he took some panadol without any complaints. Normally if I have to try and get him to have medicine it is a real battle.

Will get out for another walk.

I am really trying to shift about 20 kg. My wedding rings still don't fit and my blood pressure is still moderately high so I am doing it for health reasons as well as just wanting to fit into some clothes.
