Just played Skip-Bo with daughter number 2. Helped daughter number 1 sign up for Young Writers Workshop. I was going to work on handrails for the front steps, but forgot to buy screws. So, since I posted pics this week, here’s one where I am now.

I guess I could have finished painting. Lol.

lol I feel that way sometimes. I think that it has helped me face the day in a different way. Even if the prayer is simple...it is a beautiful start to the day. I do like night time prayers, too.

Am enjoying working my way through Proverbs for my reading at evening prayer. One of today's verses:

"House and wealth are inherited from parents,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord."

Has me pondering whether I ought to be more prudent in trying to grow our own food. I've been wanting to set up a wall planter with strawberries for a while, but not sure if it'd end up being worth it or the birds would get most of the fruit...

(What I'd really love is an excuse to set up one of these, but that might be just a wee bit beyond my handyperson capacities! SPACE10 Open Sources The Growroom ).

Just got dinner for tonight's Bible study into the slow cooker (the group come straight from university or work, so I make sure there's a meal; it gets better attendance that way!)

Temporarily kicked off my work computer because my other half is doing some IT stuff I don't understand for the parish, so checking in here before trying to think about a sermon for Sunday...
