Awwww, c'mon: The Bible is not a BOOK. It's a LIBRARY! And like any good library, it contains diamonds as well as junk - and some reeeeeally old stuff that has lost its original purpose in the meantime. Ever asked yourself why there are so many genealogies in the Genesis, stretching over various pages and detailing the ancestry of the Israelites as well as most other tribes then present in that part of the world?Glorianna said:The BEST BOOK EVER!!!
Well, their purpose was primarily to strengthen the identity of the Israelites, and to assign them and their neighbours a clear place within the framework of history. But nowadays, they turn out to be rather tiresome.
