CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just a humble servant
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. People has said it's one of the few movies that are as good as the book. Nah. As good as the movie is, the book is still way better.

The best Christian book I have ever found (other than the Bible of course).
It presents everything so very simply yet at the time is profound. It is really a good course on basic Christianity but different enough and so useful that it is great for all levels of Christian maturity (I've been a Christian for decades and I wish this book had been available to me as a new Christian). I have read it several times and plan on reading every year or so.
The book is "Thy Will Be Done On Earth: Understanding God's Will for You" by Robert Lloyd Russell. It is readily available from major online sources and elsewhere. If you would like to learn more the author has a website which is BooksRLR.com which contains more information.
I cannot recommend it highly enough.
