I read A Child Called It last evening (yes the whole book, very fast read). I couldn't put it down. I was just so amazed a mother could do the things to her child that his mother did to him.

I just finished A Kiss of Shadows by Laurell K. Hamilton

I picked it up because it was cheap and actually sounded pretty good. A run away faerie princess posing as a human in Los Angeles specializing in supernatural crime. I love the fantasy genre so sounds great right? Wrong literally 50% of the book is sex (I don't mind a little but come on) and 35% is faerie politics. While it did have a few good parts and some awesome characters (Doyle/Siobhan) all and all it just wasn't a very good book. Sad part is it left things kinda hanging and I'm curious how they end. I'm debating on the sequal sadly.

Faeries have politics?

Did in this book. But you have to understand that there is more to faeries than the ones that look like Tinkerbel. Elves are considered faeries and alot of other magical creatures as well.
