Just a little bit of light reading, I see. ;)

Me, however, I have spent the summer on mindless mysteries. I've read up to K in Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone books, and I'm on the fifth or sixth Kay Scarpetta book by Patricia Cornwell. I'm getting mad at Grafton for not taking the series out of the 80's, which is a cheap way of not having to do a little more work researching modern technology. And I don't like where Cornwell is taking Scarpetta so far, but I hope she gets better. I'll keep reading but it's probably time for something with a little more substance.

I've got 5 books going right now, in no particular order:

1. The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (in the car)

2. Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow (in bed at night)

3. John Adams by David McCollough (at the office)

4. Ben Franklin:An American Life by Walter Isaacson (in the john!!)

5. The Ezekiel Option by Joel Rosenberg (while watching TV...drives my wife nuts when I multi-task!)
