So what are you guys saved from?
We are saved from eternal condemnation (Ro 8:1) to the wrath of God on our sin (Jn 3:36), through grace by faith in Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8).I'm finding that our interpretation of what we are saved from really informs how we read the scriptures and which 'theology' we subscribe to.

We are saved from Death. Death is not simply the act of my physical body ceasing to function. Death is an all-encompassing situation where mankind - and all of creation - is ripped away from God, who is the source of Life. Death is being away from God and having no life in us, always seeking life in ourselves yet never finding it, and trying to find new ways to preserve ourselves, warping ourselves more and more in the process. Just as our physical bodies waste away after they expire, so all of creation has been plunged into what St Paul calls "the bondage of decay".

Good honest answers here, guys.
Now, if I may, here's some follow-up questions:
How do you think 'what we are saved from' shows up in a practical way in our lives? (What we do, what we say, what we type, etc.)
For example, do you think that someone who believes that he is primarily saved from hell (whichever version) would act differently from someone who believes he was saved from himself?
Or has the definition of 'what we are saved from' changed for you during the course of your own walk? How has that affected your relationship with God?

It is suppose to show up in the way we live.
The world lives according to the five physical senses.
The just(born again people) shall live by faith.
