which means what? humans can only behave in a manner consistent with how they were created, be it good or not so good...

Adam was created in the image of God. Later, Adam sinned. If being created in the image of God includes behavior, then Adam's sin flowed from his being created in the image of God.

Many people say that my daughter looks just like my wife. In fact, they call her "the spitting image." Does it follow that my daughter will behave as my wife does in every circumstance? Anyone who knows my wife and my daughter would chuckle at this idea. They could not be more opposite. My wife is extremely laid back and shy. My daughter is extremely Type A and outgoing. Their behavior is immensely different. And my daughter is "the spitting image."

I don't believe that image implies behavior.

Ok... so then, when you read that when you have done it to the least of them you have done it to Him, to you that means what? If God is invisible and chooses not to reveal what he looks like, but leaves his "image" on things, how should we relate to those "images?" Or should we?

God takes pleasure in the things we do for others.

Are you asking how we should relate to those who are created in the image of God? If so, then I submit that this idea should cause us to view every person as being created in the image of God. If I've correctly understood your question, then we are discussing an idea that feels a bit different than the concept that "God is reproducing Himself through us." This is the concept that I find troubling.

understood.... I have problems with the idea of God remaking us into Him from the standpoint that why did he go to all the trouble to make us uniquely us only to remake us to be like him.....

I don't know of any parents that would call their children "copies" of themselves.

Which means more Gods will be just like Him, in all things, produced through us.

Is it possible for us to be uniquely us and also like Him?

Has anyone else on this thread answered the OP as clearly as I have?
