Your views..

I really don't have a viewpoint on this. Here are the facts as I know them.

The Pentecostal religion was started in the Topeka, Kansas in 1901 by Charles F. Parkham
Assemblies of God, which has similor beliefs, grew out of Pentecostalism in 1914 in Hot Springs, Az.
Another similar group, Four-square Gospel, was started by Aimee Semple McPherson in L.A. in 1917.

That's about all I know of them.

o About midway through the semester, Seymour is invited to come to Los Angeles
o It is an integrated church and they want Seymour to come and be one of the pastors
o This is in April of 1906
o After a few days he breaks out in tongues
o Soon other people begin speaking in tongues
o They soon move to a building on Azusa St.; it will become known as the Azusa st. revival
o People begin coming from everywhere
- E.N. Bell became the first supertendent of the Assembly of God
