I love doing crafts.

My grandmother does EVERYTHING and is teaching me.

I'm knitting baby booties as a baby gift. What makes them more special is the knitting needles were originally owned by my friend's grandmother -- the baby's great grandmother. :)

I'm crocheting an afghan. I've made crocheted scrunchies for sale (I have some over in the trading room now!) Kind of neat to have perfected one thing enough to be able to sell it. I've sold several on other boards.

I had a 'third job' making cross bookmarks out of ribbon and canvas and selling them on consignment in college.

I did a huge cross stich of the Lord's prayer one time.

I like making my own envelopes, and a little into rubberstamping, too.

I made tons of those paint 'bead' shirts when they were popular a few years back.

Mainly I do cross stitch, and am learning to knit and crochet.

I've done a lot of crafting but mainly I knit.

The most popular things I knit are Christmas stockings. I've also called them Birthday stockings where I knitted in the childs favorite colors and had a picture of somthing they liked knitted into it.

I've knitted sweaters, blankets, booties, hats, purses, but mostly the stockings.

I do a lot of crocheting - made several afghans - one was a big American Flag (my personal favorite!).

Embroidered squares and turned it into a huge baby quilt for a good friend.

Many, many cross-stitching projects - I also did one of the Lord's Prayer, and did several as wedding gifts, personalized with the bride and groom and wedding date.

Scrapbooks and rubberstamping...too many little projects to mention!

I make "Kitchen Angels"...

There's more, but that's what popped into my head...

Well, not as much 'with my hands' as in a handicraft, but as a digital photographer one of the most rewarding things I've done so far has been a slideshow that's projected on the wall before and after our church services... I've matched up some of my best shots with carefully chosen scripture, and so many people comment about how much they love them, and how fitting the scripture is... I plan on putting them into a screensaver sometime to share them further...

Peace be with you...
Stuart

:pink: I have done a few things. I have made 3 aphgans, 2 mini aphgans, a scarf (all of these with yarn)

I made some counted cross stitching: a dinosaur w/ my son's name on it, a bigger picture with a porch lounge chairs and the sea, a lighthouse, a picture (hard to explain) for my aunt.

I get into moods where I love to do these kinds of things and then there will be times that I don't like to do it at all. LOL:clap:

I am making scarves as Christmas presents. (they are knitted on big chunky needles with nice chunky wool, it is great fun and something relaxing to do after my baby goes to bed) Also, I am knitting a doll's blanket for a little girl's birthday present I made a little purse as well and sewed some spare buttons (stars and teddy bears) on. It is cute, I wouldn't mind one for myself now.

The other thing I do, is knit squares to make rugs for orphanages in Russia.

How cute! I love Jemima Puddleduck. I like to sew counted cross stich, but my own creations. I have sewn book marks with inspirational sayings and I give them to friends for Christmas/birthdays. I have sewn numerous personalized ornaments, I give them all away though, seeing happy faces shows me that my hard work payed off. I used to make little stuffed animal cars out fo shoe boxes when I was younger. I had police, fire, sports, just about any kind of car possible. I have always loved to make things, it is just so fun ^_^

So many many things

I have made 8 victorian cross stitch Christmas Socks

Designed a flower garden bedroom suit for our daughter complete with dollhouse/bookshelf/desk house (husband made it I designed it, working on other designs for the other 4 children)

But one of my favorite creations is cover ideas for children's ebooks. Our second son shows classic signs of dyslexia and nothing would motivate him to read. So I turned our children's ebook company into a motivational tool that I have not seen an equal too. Worked like a charm. I am currently putting together my second cover book of ideas. How much fun it is to create and know that it motivates young readers. (I would give you the web address but don't want to cross any lines)

Currently working on some other ideas, we are a family of inventors of sorts. Our 14 year old invented a toy car that ran on the earths magnetic force. The car ran good but he didn't have any way built into it to make it turn so he ended up loosing it down the street.

I am one of those unfortunate people with two left hands, no hand eye coördination, who can't draw a straight line. Crafts seem to pass by my door completely, but at 10 or 11 years old, I started to embroider.
I'll just fess up right away and admit that I mostly found it a romantic idea, which belonged to an era of chivalry and knights. My mother, thinking it was one of those silly whims girls indulge in and then never pick up again, bought me this gigantic pink elephant of about 3 foot by 3 foot, in big cross stitch. It took me half a year, but I completed it, and then gave it away.
Strangely, embroidery has always been a hobby that I kept to. Teaching myself from books, buying supplies and learning techniques along the road.
I'm now 27, and for New Years, my gift for the guests will be monogrammed napkins. ((needs to do 3 more in 2 days, winces)). I love freestyle embroidery, and have a fascination for monograms or embroidered artworks.

In the mean time, I've also learned to make other little things with fabric and am becomming more interested in other, simple crafts as well.

This year I made my own cards - all except 3. Three for Mother's Day, I think I made one for Father's Day, six for Christmas, one for my parents' anniversary, and some I can't remember what for. This year I also decided to *finally* learn how to crochet. Believe it or not, it's one of those things (along with knitting) that I thought was too "girl" stuff and I'd never bother trying. Well, it took 3 months worth of free time but I stayed up ALL NIGHT on Christmas Eve (until 8am) to finish crocheting the lap blanket I surprised my parents with for Christmas. Now I need to get back to my scrapbook.
