To Life Immortal
I am thinking of visiting a Messianic shul after the snow is over. What is a typical service like? I remember going to temple on Shabbat and reading from the prayer book. We would have aliyahs for the Cohen and Levi and others. I remember going up with my tallit with yellow roses on it and chanting Torah. Services would end with Adan Olam and a little snack of herring, wine, horseradish and other nibbles afterwards.
Do Messianics recite the Sh'ma and have Torah chanting and follow the prayer book? When I visit, will I see something familiar or be pleasantly surprised?
Peace and Long Life
