Its the Forum's own American-English Standard version for goodness sake!I'm not going to counter whatever translation he used with the KJB; other than to say that in those three verses he posted, where his says "slave," the KJB says "servant."
It looks like academia will even Arab-phone the Bible to bring back the slave mindset as a godly thing.
Yep. And drank copious amounts of Johnny Walker Black Label. That’s the thing about secular morality, you’re free to make your own decisions.Okay ... now I'm confused.

Yet an English-American socio-political critic and public intellectual, who mainly expressed himself as an author, journalist, orator, and columnist who wrote, co-wrote, edited and co-edited over 30 books, including five of essays on culture, politics, and literature smoked two packs a day.

I think I've made my point; and I don't feel like repeating myself over and over.
Religious views on smoking - WikipediaI say this because I've never heard of smoking as a sin.
I didn't. If anyone did that was you. Then why are you bringing them up, as if it's okay Biblically?

Your link doesn’t have Christians prohibiting smoking.
The Roman Catholic Church does not condemn smoking per se, but considers excessive smoking to be sinful, as described in the Catechism (CCC 2290):
The virtue of temperance disposes us to avoid every kind of excess: the abuse of food, alcohol, tobacco, or medicine.
