I disagree with that comparison though I agree with the spirit of what you say.I don't know if you can exactly call it a "catch" when it's a stipulation they linked in an official X post and on their website

Hurricane Relief (Helene and Milton) - Starlink Help Center
www.starlink.com
That's kinda like saying "The Christmas Toyota-thon event where they advertise "sign & drive" sounds great right?...but there's a catch, turns out you actually do have to arrange financing and make payments on the car and they're not just giving you a free car for nothing more than your signature...the nerve of Toyota to mislead people like that!"
Well they expect the deliveries to be weeks away, they are still having to front 450$.Are AT&T, Verizon, Time Warner, Spectrum, etc... offering any sort of no-strings-attached internet package for victims of the hurricane? If not, then what Elon is offering is "30 days better" than the competitors.
Then they still have to pay the 120$ a month; much much more than Verizon atandt. Ultimately the consumer would be paying triple. IS the more reliable access worth that price? Up to the consumer. It feels like bad taste since 120$ over the life of that system seems like not a discount.
Instead of the me me me me me me group. And yes, the world owes me group.
I love your ridiculous preconceived notions of liberals. It's like an R.Crumb cartoon where a hippie has a monacle and a WWI German war helmet.Start a fund and help out.
Volunteer.
Liberals help out and volunteer all through the community all the time. And they do it gratefully and graciously and happily with the heart for it. And your on the sidelines yelling "baaaaaaaargle do what your doing!!!"
