  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What a Blessed Day!!

Our family went to a church in the West of England today, we live in London, some 150 miles away. I preached a sermon called Identity Crisis and my wife and I did a joint seminar (our first as ministry partners praise God) called Mind the Gap focusing on the need for us as Christians to ensure that our relationship with God should be the basis for all of our decisions, and that Christianity is more than one day a week job.

We had such a blessed Sabbath. We could honestly feel the presence of God with us as we worshipped and lifted his name. We had people come to us afterward and share very personal testimonies and request prayer as well as pledging to pray for our ministry.

It felt like a taste of heaven today. That simple, blessed straightforward worship of God without airs and graces. The moving of the Holy Spirit. Just thought I would share the testimony!!

Stay blessed
Dave
