  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am trying to explore more of this site, even though I have been a member for years. I want to test myself to see how well I am actually doing on my healing journey and what I need to continue to work on.

I used to look at more of the forum than I do now. I just focus on a few areas now. There's a particular section that angers and upsets me, so I avoid it.

Well, I think for me personally, it's all about my healing journey and trying to get my story out there without getting my story out there, if that makes sense. So, I have explored a couple of forum topics and posted on there just as a way to branch out a little and pretty much say this is a part of me, but with God, it doesn't necessarily have to be a part of me anymore.

The local electoral district is looking for temp office work. I would jump at the chance to do it, but it sounds like the office will be outside of town. As a non-vehicle owner, that is just too impractical for me. If it were within the limits of where I live, it would be just fine.

They agreed to just put me at a polling station instead. I'll find out next week where I will be assigned. The election is in October and the sooner I know where and when I'll be working, the better so I can book that day off work along with the other days I need off that month.

Well, I find it ironic that when I change my profile picture on Facebook, I get maybe one or two likes; however, when my mother posted a picture for National Daughters Day, she received numerous likes as well as multiple comments, so while I appreciate the love, I am just curious as to why I cannot receive that same love on my own pages.

Doing the same mundane things over and over again every day is literally exhausting. I am sorry. Some days I just do not want to get out of bed. Is that wrong of me? Probably. But the struggle is real.

Why do I always respond back right away? Because I hate being ignored. It is simple: have some common decency and reply. But people have no respect. Expect less, and it will hurt less. I also hate apologizing for speaking up. It is not 1924; it is 2024. I have the right to say whatever I want. Whether you like it or not. Get with the times.
