But the problem is: Is wet dream a sin?
Just remember what Luther said: You can't stop the birds flying over your head, but you can stop them making a nest in your hair.

In other words, when we are awake, we can make an effort prayerfully, by God's grace, to concentrate on profitable things in God's Word. We can't control dreams; and I would not attach importance to them, since we have God's Word to communicate to us.

Is it a sin that I wet dream?

No, it's a natural aspect of our sexual (also natural) bodies. How could God judge you for something you cannot control and still be a just God? The answer is: He could not. Since we know he is just than it reasonably follows that a wet dream is not a sin.

A sin has three requirements:
1) it is an evil
2) it is known to be an evil
3) it is deliberately done anyhow

A "wet dream" fails in all three.

Hello guys, please help me I had a wet dream today and I feel bad about it, I ask God for forgiveness, I never knew that wet dream will happen to me again and I remember the last time I wet dream was 2012. Is it a sin that I wet dream? What can I do? I hope God forgives me :-(

kimbarcelo: The bible speaks of emissions of sperm in chapter 23 of Deuteronomy and in chapters 15 an 18 of Leviticus...the man would be unclean, he would have to go outside the camp, at evening he'd bathe and as the sun is setting he could return to the people...a sin offering wasn't required.

Yup. Just to be clear, this concept of ritual uncleaness is part of the covenant with the Jews. It doesn't apply to us.

no.

Indeed. In fact, in the verses surrounding those passages, regular marital sex (which is COMMANDED in scripture) had the same "unclean" strictures that the wet dreams had.

NOT A SIN.

Disagree on all 3 points, but that is off topic to this discussion.

Pubescent nocturnal emissions are supposed to be normal. During this time up to early 20s, the body is an endocrine nightmare. I don't think it is wrong, especially as @JackRT pointed out, sin is evil because it is against God. If you are interested in science, take some big three classes (bio, chem, physics) and see just how easy it is for a pubescent male to have this happen.

Adult emissions is something different, though. That MAY be a bigger issue on a spiritual level.
