Hey,

Any other fellow aussie's taking indoors with aircons or to your pools to escape from the heat at the moment.. It's interesting seeing the extremes from one country to the other.. Blizzards in America, hot days in Australia. I heard it hit 40'Celius the other day out west?

Post your local top temp here, and we can compare temperatures through the countries.

I think yesterday hit 38 degrees, and today seems just as hot. We walked the couple of hundred metres from our house to the local community centre yesterday and nearly collapsed on the way home.

I have dry clothes on the line which I'm waiting until it gets cooler this afternoon to get off. I don't need the heatstroke or the sunburn.

Whoa crazy day here!

Got to 41' C (that's over 100'F I think for any American readers) today, before the cool change kicked in, major winds brought temps down to around 25'C.. then we had rain but the humidity kicked in again and temps rose to around 30'C - at 7pm!! Then another cool wind blew, now lightning... o wait it's stopped! No rain, a bit of wind, and I might just be able to get some sleep now lol!

We were driving home from MIL last night, in a thunderstorm. LIttle D was woken up to go home and he's just sitting in the back of the car with this stunned look on his face when the thunder lightning was going, the whole road lit up. ALso, it was raining quite heavy, something he hasn't seen much of in his short little life.

Rain, glorious rain - all yesterday evening and night! I even got to walk in it a little (my husband was picking daughter and I up, but forgot he had something immovable on one of the seats so I said I'd walk the short distance home). I needed a shower to warm up once I got inside.

I love falling to sleep to the sound of heavy rain on a tin roof. Today is overcast, but am praying that the rain holds off until my husband finishes working and is home.

No; I go to St Thomas' Anglican Church in Cranebrook. A leisurely 10 second drive down the road from where I live.
