Hi all,
I was just thinking about something I read in the Bible. It says somewhere that our bodies are already dead here on earth and that we are alive in Heaven. That we should not sin, but act as if we already live in Heaven. That all makes sense.... but I was wondering.... if we are dead on this earth and our spirits are alive, why can't we just go to heaven this very moment?
It says that faith through Jesus Christ gives us eternal life.... no matter what you have done.... if you repent and put your life into His hands you will live. For true Chrisitians, whoes faith are real, does that not mean that we live in two places at once?
(I'm having difficulty explaining this
)
I'm not meaning to say that we will actually be transported to Heaven and back whenever we want to (only the Spirit leads us), but that we will come very close.
Many apostles have told us to be lead by the Holy Spirit while we are praying. The Holy Spirit is in Christ, so we are in Christ. Christ is life, eternal life -----> Heaven. Does that not mean that our spirits in fact go to Heaven whenever we pray, whenever we fully give ouselves over... when we do not speak, but listen to the Words of the Most High?
I just sometimes feel like there is a whole different dimmension to praying. I feel like this has happened to me before.... that I have been taked to a place like Heaven.... as if I were IN Jesus Christ. As if the whole air would be filled with static and as if I were taken away by the Spirit.
Just some thoughts
(Heee hee, i love praying
)
PRAISE OUR FATHER!
