We're all in this together...and yet

Hi Folks,

Most of us have probably heard about the Kansas City attacks on Jewish centres where a former KKK leader attacked and killed three people at two different Jewish centres.

The victims, ironically, were not Jews but Christians. Two Methodist folks and a Roman Catholic (who I believe may possibly be a Hebrew Christian?) To me, this proves that we're all in this together- that evil hates the alliance between God's peoples and will find a way to hurt.

Which brings me to the sad follow up of all this. The Westboro Baptist Church is picketing the funerals of the Methodist victims. What a bunch of losers. Clearly not on God's side.

That's all...just wanted to vent.

Yeah, on the grounds that the WBC has dreadful doctrine and shows no fruit as evidence of them being actually Christian.

In their usual, bizzare and twisted logic and dogma, they have released this sad and moronic press release to justify their public stupidity.

The good news is that a Jewish group has decided to do a counter protest and has on last report 161 people who have signed up for it! Reported here.

Well, it couldn't have been that Phelps was alone in being a loon in that group. For them to have the sticking power that they've had, there would have to be many loons all gathered together and convinced of their own justification. Perhaps the ones who have been excommunicated and left will be able to come back and convince the rest of the lunacy of this cult. We can hope, I guess.

What kind of confuses me is that early reports claimed that the gunman was asking people if they were Jewish before he shot them. But the victims were three Christians. I wonder if the early reports are accurate.
