Then where is the evidence for your claims that education and public media services should be privatized? Moreover, are you aware that that wouldn't even come close to balancing the budget?
I don't think health insurance should be required. I think the government should provide UHC.
I understand that it is a fairly small part of the budget but still would help. For one thing in private schools and this is more from expereince than actual proof but they do not have to "teach the test" because they receive little to no money from the government they can teach benefits the students most and do not have to teach in a rush trying to get the test ( standardized) in. In addition, they often offer smaller classes. This means that each student is more likely to get the help they need DURING class. As for health care that is what Obamacare does is make people have health insurance or pay a fine. Why should I have something I do not want be force if I understand the risk to not having it?

But you're saying that we can balance the budget, while still providing necessary services, without raising taxes. How? Where do we make the big cuts?

That may be true (I'd be the first to expound upon how little standardized tests actually mean), but that also points out a great problem with a private-only or primarily-private model: there's really no accountability.
In addition, they often offer smaller classes. This means that each student is more likely to get the help they need DURING class.
That's certainly true, but that would only hold true for the more expensive private schools, because these schools are able to do this due to the higher tuition. Once again, this leaves the poor out in the cold.

And what about libraries? They simply can't be privatized.

Health insurance is different from UHC.
