Hi everyone I live in Co Durham. I go to an AOG church which is something I'm quite new to. I've been a Christian for many years put have had very little to do with Pentecostal churches.

Thus far it is proving a great blessing, the presence of the Lord is evident in the meetings. Although I find some of the terminology used in the preaching a little, well different from what I'm used to. I might ask you folks about that at a latter date.

Hello, I am a pentecostal christian and I can't imagine my life any other way. God, the son, and the Holy spirit, I can't see how I can love one without the others, they are one and I need every aspect of them. I need the father, my savior, and comforter. It's good to know there are people who I can fellowship with. May the Lord bless you all.

Hello and welcome, hope to see you on here. We would be happy to answer questions you may have.

I must be dense in my old age. I found this site by goggling "pentecostal chat" so i assumed they were all full gospel. It took me 2 days to figure out my assumptions were incorrect and i have now found what I was looking for.
I hope you like it here, I guess you can say we are a chat group of sorts. We would be happy to chat with you on our fellowship thread, it is always great getting to meet and know new people. Blessings

Amen to that!! Good morning and welcome to the forum, I hope you are blessed here and enjoy the fellowship. God bless

I've barely started signing on here and decided to change my profile, but I didn't want to change my testimony. Is it too late? do you have to retype everyting every time you change one thing?

What is SF?
I don't think you have to changes everything, just the parts that you want to. Where do you see SF at?

I was stumbleing around and found the "meet the chaplin site and I saw SF in there.

What is the "Blessings" and "CF Angels"? What does "edit your signature" do, what sig.?

If I wanted to add my favorite character and quote to my profile without changing everything is that possible?

Sorry to hit you with so many questions, but I haven't been able to find a "Tour Guide" category any where.

Welcome Kenny(and other recent visitors).........We're blessed to have you here. We pray that you will make yourself feel at home. Not many posters live here because we tend not to overly debate on this side of the forum.
We have a friendly and loving connection based on our love of God and each other.

Most threads here are designed to inspire to greater faith, fellowship and trust in God and His word.

We do have posters who are beyond curious about issues of Pent/AOG doctrines, so we try to allow limmited discussion based on mutual respects. We discourage those without afilliation with our doctrines to teach because we represent multiple chuches and rather not fall into confusing our purpose to represent the people of God.

Thank God for Holy Spirit and the annointed ladies here who oversee and make sure that we have a peaceful and loving place to lift up the name of Jesus.
We pray for one another and encourage each other daily in love.

Get in where you fit in........

New here today - looks like a nice website and user friendly.

Blessings from,

Kathreen

P. S. Hope that it is okay to post youtube here.
Below is the link to a song I wrote and recorded Saturday morning.
My husband did the video before game time in the evening.

But it was not allowed - sorry about that.

Hey everybody, I'm a Spirit-filled Christian as well. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1996, if I'm not wrong about the date. In my church we speak and pray in tongues, but I have some Christian friends who tell me that speaking in tongues without any interpretation is wrong. Can anyone please enlighten/help me with this thinking? I'm feeling unsure. Thank you.

This question comes up constantly in this forum, along with those about confusing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit with Spirit Baptism and the gifts of the Spirit with Spirit Baptism.

At any rate --

I link below to an article I have on the internet to set out basic Pentecostal theology on the Holy Spirit, which answers these questions and others, according to the theology of the Azusa Street Revival. In the case of your question, click on "III" from the internal link menu at the top, "The Church and the Holy Spirit," and scroll down to "D," which begins, "In particular, the gift of tongues was a source of misunderstanding and immaturity at Corinth."
