Hi everyone! I'm new to the forums... I am a Seventh-day Adventist and have been since November 2004. I am what you would call a Traditional or Historic Adventist, as I firmly reject "New Light" on our doctrines and beliefs.

I would suggest starting a new thread in the main Seventh-day Adventist forum. More people will see it if you start a new topic about it.

I am new to this forum and I posted yesterday but I don't know where it is at now. I'm not very adept to navigation and it seems there are a lot of doors to choose from here. I found this particular page today and it seems to have some activity, so I will ask my question here if that is ok.

I was an SDA 20 odd years ago and recent found out that there are those in the SDA church that believe that Jesus had an unfallen nature as Adam had before the fall. If there is someone here who holds that belief I would be curious to know what brings them to this conclusion. any EGW or scripture support for this is fine with me.

The nature of Christ is an issue that is debated among Adventist theologians. Here are a couple of articles from the Adventist Biblical Research Institute that you might find interesting. The first argues in favor of a fallen nature while the second takes the view of an unfallen nature.

About Christ's nature, I believe Hebrews 2:11 left no doubt that He had a fallen nature,exactly like ours.
Hebrews 2:16 also says:"For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels;but He took on Him the seed of Abraham".How could he partake of Abraham's seed if He took on Him the nature of unfallen Adam?
The emphasis here is that he did not take on some exotic,sinless nature such as angels,or holy Adam might have had,but the same nature that Abraham's children possessed.
He was tempted in the same way we are,yet He never once yielded to or entertain sin.He was always totally pure,holy and undefiled.
He was born in the same flesh and nature we have so He could understand better our weaknesses,and be a merciful High Priest to us.
