Lets see i have no blog, no homepage, no character (it wont work for me now that ive repurchased 3/4ths of my way more than 1000 items because they all show up on one page and it freezes) and can only have a character or avatar but not both and would have sold off my entire armory and not wasted it if i knew beforehand ...

No i am not happy right now.

The blog will be back.. the new blog engine will be up and running shortly.
The character will work eventually, but please be patient! people are working hard on this... many for nothing.... but sorting out the glitches will take time.
And I believe that you can link to your homepage via your profile... though I don't have a clue how, not being the techy type. But I can find out

Meanwhile, look around, talk to people, pray for people..... do some of the things that are available! God is good, and this place is a blessing... even in it's unfinished state!

As far as your character goes, I think they are working on putting up characters one by one today. Eventually we will all have our characters back.

I agree if it is going to stay like this I don't know that I will stay. The characters were fun and so was my beloved cat Blackie.

Characters are back, albeit with a few glitches....and pets will be back soon - Blackie can be revived!

Some people need to understand that upgrades are necessary in order to move forward with the forum. The reason why CF was having so many issues and glitches is because is was so old and it would only get worse if they didn't upgrade. Yes, it sucks to lose years worth of work, but CF's been open for a day or less, so give it a chance to work out correctly. A lot of the things that the old CF had isn't compatible to the newer versions so loss is inevitable. They need to open the board up to see what bugs there are so they can fix them, so trust that they will work on it.

And for those who are being completely rude for no good reason at all, please understand the hard work it takes to redo everything and that there will be glitches and problems that need to be hammered out. It may take a week or more to get everything up to par.

You can still get the CF characters under living avatars. I dont know about pets because I didn't have one.

Try going back in and resaving your Character to see if the red X disappears....

It should all be up and running, for the most part, now.

Perhaps all members prior to upgrade should be given reimbursements in blessings for items that they are not happy with at the moment. It would go a long way at making everyone more comfortable. Just a suggestion but one worth looking at.

I am glad to hear that. Now there are some problems but I expect you will address them as time goes by. For one it will cost me 52,000 blessings to withdraw from my savings account. Not good. I think it may be even more if I get the penalty too.

We did not know that the changes would be this when we put those blessings away. I think all charges need to be suspended until everyone can get organized again.

Mine is not showing yet either, but I understand they are supposed to "appear" today if you've activated it. Were you even able to get one and equip her?

No - everytime i tried a button it said I had to pick an item from below, but there was nothing below. The only button that worked was the activate button.
Does this mean we are losing all of our armor & hair styles?

I agree with the site support and bank stuff. They are definitely a concern. I'm saddened by the character because I would have to choose between my character and my avatar and I liked having both and seeing both on other people's posts. Oh and the rep thing as well....I can't see my or anyone else's rep points.

As for the layout, I don't really care a whole lot about what a site looks like. But this, to be honest, is very hard on my eyes. Last night and this morning I've gotten headaches from reading. I hope this gets changed very soon.

MANY people have already complained of headaches or migraines..i really hope the admins are reading about this..they need to change the color scheme..like ASAP..this is serious stuff.

What fun is an upgrade without a few kinks? Personally I'm giving it a couple weeks for all the problems to be worked out before I start complaining too much. True, the homey feeling of the old CF hasn't applied yet for the new version, but it takes time.

Look at it this way, in a few years when they have to upgrade again, how many of you who are complaining right now, will be asking for it to be changed back to this style? GIVE IT TIME! I understand the frustrations of trying to figure out the new system. I'm confused to. But I feel that those who are working on the upgrade, and trying to tweak out the bugs still need a little more credit than they are recieving.
I've read most of this thread, mainly to keep updated with how things are coming. I am a little surprised to see the same question being asked every 2-3 pages. Yes, there is a lot to read, but going back 10 pages and catching up isn't that hard. And you will probably find the answer to your question in those pages.


I just want to thank those involved with the upgrade for all their hardwork they have put in. Also, thank you for allowing us to come back on here and post, even though things are completely done yet.
