Are there any Weiss Kreuz fans out there? Anyone who knows what it even is? It's been very ahrd finding anyone who has even heard of the knight hunters at school, they're mostly inuyasha and yu yu hakusho fans (no problem with either, just saying there is ALOT of fans from those shows). Also, if anyone has seen Gluhen, is it any good? i thought they would probably just do the same plot, so i never bothered with it.

Considering that Farfello is a god-hating crazy loon who kills people sadistically and thinks murder is an art-form; Yoji is a sex-driven ladysman who is a porn-addict; the show glorifies assassination and competition; and the only really sweet and gentle person on the show (Tot) was a villainess, I don't think there will be very many Weiss Kruez fans on this forum.


Weiss Kreuz is the very best in Bishounen anime's. Farfello is the best crazy guy I've ever seen. I just love him! Farfie fans unite!!!! I mean, he's convincingly mad, and he's so much fun to roleplay...

Um, anyways. I've seen Gluhen. Not good. If you've seen Weiss Kreuz, Gluhen isn't any good. Gluhen is okay by itself, but it's just so different, I can't stand it. Of course, that's opinion.

Yoji iddn't the same.

Aya and Ran aren't the same.

And the obviously connections between the good guys and bad guys have dimmed down quite a bit. Aya's more snobby, Yoji's more mean/drunk/playboyish... exaggerated versions of themselves.

Yeah, that's true.

Mostly it's just the differences in appearance that drives me mad. Where are Yoji's shades? What's with the dorky cowboy getup?

And what, exactly, happened to Omi? He went from super feminine to super masculine. What happened to the adorable little kid? ;-;

I hate lawsuits (that is what happened, isn't it?). They ruin the best anime's. *pouty face*

With the orginal though, i just adored the dubbing outtakes- if you haven't seen them you really need to

But anyways, yeah, I really like Weiss Kruez. My favorite episode was when we learn about Farfie's past (the third one, if memory serves). It was the first episode that showed that Farfie actually had some feelings under that extremely crazed exterior.

LOL. Well, the art is wonderful and the music is pretty good too, so I suggest watching it for those reasons solely. And hey, you may turn out liking the fact that Aya is more Braddish than Brad!

Farfie is unique in the land of anime. That's why he's so likable... and he's insane. I don't know why, but insane people tend to appeal more to the anime crowd.

Oh, hey! Have you ever noticed how many cat-like objects/names are in Weiss Kreuz? I mean, it has subliminal cat messages. All the Weiss nicknames are cat types (Bombay, Persia...), and the claws that Ken uses are like cats, and just the overall cat theme?

I know their flowers are also symbolic, but do you know what's with the cat stuff? I can't figure it out.

What was your favourite Weiss song? i really like piece of heaven (it was the first opening, i think), it keeps getting stuck in my head. Plus, it's the only i can remember. i never really liked Tot. It's addictive! A good anime is addictive, ne?

You can find Gluhen at any anime shop. They have more Gluhen than normal Weiss Kruez. It's all backwards, I tell ya.

As for the original series: the animation's good, the U.S. DVD video quality is horrible, and I can't get past the English voice acting (although the outtakes on the first disc are pretty funny). I still need to see the rest of the series, though. I've only got the first disc.

the dubbing is pretty pathetic
i'll be watching and even though i love the show i'll just be like, 'what the heck was the translator ON?' That line, "Deny these beasts their tommorrow's" or whatever it is, it's kinda wierd by itself, but Persia says it about 20 times and every other time he'll mix up the words...or maybe i'm idsexlic, or maybe just dislexic (which has a strange spelling..hmm)
That's why i've been trying to convince my boyfriend to just watch it in Japanese--but he's too lazy to read subtitles so he never agrees.
I DO really like the outtakes, they get better as you go further in the show for the most part. The guy that play Omi does some strange things on the second or third disk.
