• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I stopped doing compulsions to neutralize my anxiety and obsessions, and it worked (maybe too well)! My anxiety disappeared completely 5 days ago and I feel abnormarly euphoric.
The problem is that I have felt very hungry all the time. I just ate a meal 2 times as big as normally (again), but it made me more hungry!

So, should I eat more or start compulsing (researching my obsessions for hours) again?

I think you should definitely eat more. Your compulsion is so, so hard for you to overcome. You can loose a few pounds much easier than to try to reverse compulsive thoughts.

Maybe you were eating less than what you needed to before and now that your body has been regulated, your body is doing what it is suppose to do.

Again, I do not know your situation personally, but I think this is very well could be what is happening to you.

Enjoy your euphoria for a while. Why should you not? It could be that God meant you to have that treatment to set you free. God does not always work through miracles, but works through people and the actions He can guide His Children to do.

Pray worship to Christ. "Thank you Jesus that I feel free from my OCD"! "Praise Your Holy Name that You have brought me to this point in my life!". "I love you Lord and it is Your Name I will always praise!". "Thank you Lord for answering my prayer".

YOU BE HAPPY! Enjoy your euphoria, it could very well be a gift that God guided you to do that therapy to help you. Jesus LOVES YOU.

I hope this helps you. Be blessed.
