Weird Dreams, do they matter?

Most of my dreams are weird, they don't seem weird as the dream is going on, and I always wonder if there is a meaning behind it, I've had a recent dream like none other, this one had cussing in it, drinking, and a few celeberties. I've never dreamed about such things, there was even a bit of racism, I was confused when I woke up.

Excuse me? I don't know about you, but all of my dreams are weird.

In real life I've never experienced finding a lake in my bedroom, and Hitler is a cat who lives upstairs. That's as normal as it gets for me, I'm afraid.

From a certain perspective weird dreams are fun. They can be a nice break from the mundane of life, and almost anything can happen. As to whether they are from God I would say usually not. The real point is whether they mean something to you, because God often speaks through symbols that mean something to you. What God's spirit wil not do is oppose Himself, glorify sin or act against you in a way that is out of line with the Character of Christ. Dreams about sin are questionable because God would not promote sin. However, he may give you warning of an impending stumble or of someone else's sinful life. I would not push them away but there is some caution to be taken if you find yourself seeking dream that have no godly purpose. You could be led into a relationship with a demon. Here is how.

We assume demons exist, if you are open to it somehow (how?) you might sort of fall asleep have a nice little fun dream with alot of flesh or something and then not be offended by it. Oh that was fun, I wonder what I will dream about tonight? You can circumvent all of this by simply praying, let Jesus be Lord of your dream life too. You'll figure it out soon enough if the dreams are really off and are more than just weird.

On a more mundane level, It is said that most of the dreams we have are chaotic, they are just stress and information dumps from the day and should not be taken too seriously.

Prayer will help you work it out. Clearly if you are into holiness (as real Christians are) and you are having dreams about having sex with strangers it should at least motivate you to pray about it.

The dream wasn't really promoting sin, the sin was just there. I wasn't doing it, some people were drinking and things like that in the background, it didn't really put alchoholism down, either, though.
