I own a dog that humps the air. He starts moving his hips back and forth and he only does it for about 20 seconds. It's quite amusing!

I own a cat that licks his front paw when I scratch his back. He recently just started doing this. I have done it over 200 times and he licks himself every time I do it and will continue licking as long as I'm scratching. I can make him lick for 1 second if I scratch him for 1 second, and if I scratch him for 2 minutes he will lick for 2 minutes. It is also quite amusing!

Do you have weird animals? What do they do that is so strange?

Lol, I have two Kitties of Mass Destruction. Send 'em to Iraq and GWB wouldn't need to look any further.

Heheh, but they are reeeeaaaly smart. They sleep in my basement and the handle is one you pull down at an agle, because it is horizontal. Soemthing like this when it is upright:

and this you pull it to open the door:

Not the best intepretation, but close. Anyway, these cats climb up onto the basement step banister and pull down on the handle while one goes and puches on the door, swinging it open. It's insane! I have to keep a full toolbox in front of the door to keep it closed anymore, as they're powerful enough to push through with two bricks!

It sounds like there's a nervous connection.....like maybe it itches his paw when you scratch his back. I bet that IS amusing to watch. lol

Your dog is just being a dog. Ever thought about getting him fixed? I know it sounds cruel but if he's never gonna do "that" anyway....it will save him some obvious frustration. hehe

LOL, those are my kind of kitties. I know someone who has two kittens who climb to the top of this plant near the front door. They leap off of it and land on your back when you walk in. They do this regularily because they find it amusing. They are smart enough to avoid landing on your face because they know it causes harm. They do it just as you walk past the plant and one time I had both of them on my back when they ambushed me.

I think my cat licks himself to ease the sensitive feelings he gets. It's similar to humans tightening up when they're being tickled.

As for my Dog, I don't think I will get him fixed because it's not like he is a humping maniac who is doing it 10 hrs a day, and besides, it's hilarious to watch him look back at his hips like they have a mind of their own.

I have a Pomeranian, and she does weird things. She seriously acts just like a cat. Cleans her paws, face.. ya know how cat's lick themselves clean..

She also won't touch dog food. She refuses to eat it! Hates meat totally.. but loves bagels, cereal, ice-cream, fruit, and vegetables. Plus she refuses to eat in front of anyone.

I guess this is as close as I can come to a weird animal story. I had a friend with a Pekingnese who would begin growling and barking seriously when and only when she was held like a baby and talked to like a baby by her owner. Otherwise she was fine.....strange....
