CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just got this in an emailOne day my mummy was out and my daddy was in charge of me.
I was about 2 1/2 years old and had just recovered from an accident.
Someone had given me a little tea set as a get-well gift and it was one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news so I brought Daddy a little cup of tea, which was just water.
After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mummy came home.
My Daddy made her wait in the living room to watch me bring him a cup of tea, because it was just the cutest thing!
My Mummy waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy and she watches him drink it up.
Then she says, (as only a mother would know)
'Did it ever occur to you that the only place she can reach to get water is the toilet'?

Both my grandchildren have been fighting with sinus infections. The weather has been crazy here this year. We've had more rain in the last few months than we have in the last five years. But we sure did need the rain.
