A while ago this thread was a bit much but now I decided to chime in LOL. xD I also must say a month ago I attended my best wedding so far (and one of the very few winter ones!)! And then there's some pictures in the email in case somebody might be interested.

I missed this!!! When did you get married? I agree with Mary...must see pics!!!

We decided that we're going to skip the unity candle, because we'll be outside, and I don't want to look stupid trying to light candles if it's windy or something We'll still GET the candles, and we'll light them together at some point, just the two of us. So we're going to do a "God's Knot" which is a three-stranded rope (gold-God, purple-husband, white-wife) that the groom holds at one end while the bride braids it together, and the minister will read about the meaning of it (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Here's a link to a description: God's Knot - Cord of Three Strands I was surprised to learn that Superman (AKA Don) doesn't know how to braid... but I do! I actually know something he doesn't! lol

LOL I got married on new years eve. Sent some pics your way, I hope they'll actually end up in your mail - my email doesn't seem to like me lately. (And lol it was indeed in Finland even though it doesn't look much like that.... we got snow in the south only the week afterwards.

Less than 2 months now... eeeeek lol.

Got the honeymoon cabin reserved yesterday, wOoT! Here's a link to the site, it's Cabin #1 Poconos - PA Cabins for Rent - Premier cabins for rent Out of all the cabins, this one mentions wildlife the most, so that decided it for me lol.

Also got Belmont Hall officially reserved! Feel like we're really moving forward now

I did realize you were planning a wedding a while ago though... So how's all the planning going? Do you still have a lot to do?

The planning is moving along, thanks I went into this pretty blind and ignorant about weddings as a whole, so it's been a bit stressful, but also been amazing fun

LOL yeah tell me about it! We both had last attended a wedding when we were like about ten years old so we were quite clueless too. But then it also made things more fun since we didn't have to care about conventions more then what we wanted! Ha. And then obviously my bridesmaids and parents had less stress on them since we didn't expect too much from then. I heard some talk about your dress BTW... What's it like? And where did you get it?

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Do you mind me asking what sort of ceremony you wound up having? Did you stick with a lot of tradition, or a little? Don and I are having a simple ceremony and reception; no flowers, no caterer, no DJ, no band, no ushers, no bridesmaids or groomsmen, no garter, no this or that or the other Simplifying things makes for a much happier and less stressful affair, I must say.

Puffca and I got married. (And thanks!) I posted about the wedding earlier in this thread, but it was nice. It was a small and simple ceremony, but it was just about perfect. If you have FB, I'll add you and you can see some pics. Or I could email them later, but FB adding is easier.

I might have posted about it on CF, if I hadn't left Singles prior to my engagement. Though I have felt like I've said too much about personal things before and regretted it, so I'm trying to be better about that now and in the future.
