In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wouldn't I have to BUY the dress for them to ship it? I'd rather not do that... Hmm.

Went ahead and ordered the same dress two sizes smaller. Gonna send this one back on Monday, I guess. Should have the smaller one by Thursday, so I'll know soon enough if it's going to work or not. If THAT one still doesn't fit right, I guess I'll give up on online ordering and hit the stores next weekend. I'd really like to get the dress pinned down ASAP, that's not something I want to be trying to find at the last minute.

I was telling Don today that weddings are so darn complicated. Well, a wedding + a reception is, at least. And if I didn't have people traveling in from far away, I would just forget the reception and cut my stress in half lol. But I can't do that, I'm not going to have people flying in just for a 15 minute ceremony and that's it. The least I can do is hang around and give them lunch lol.

No, shipping from one store to another is free. Macy's is one store that had no problem doing that for me (though I passed and just bought a dress at another store) and was not going to charge me. They are just shifting merchandise around; it's still not out of Nordstrom's hands. (A jewelry store offered to do the same for me, since I have a small and odd sized ring finger. They were going to ship it from their NJ store to their NY one, but we were short on time and I just went with something else.)

That may be my next step then, if the smaller dress doesn't work out. The Nordstrom dress was just as beautiful, and on sale, about $50 cheaper. I'll email that one to you, too :)

Had our "official" tour of Belmont Hall today! The outside was just as beautiful, and I can't WAIT to see it in the spring, with everything green and blooming :) I even had Don walk down from the house to the ceremony spot to get the exact timing, so we'll have an idea of how to arrange the processional music :D

The lady was nice enough to give us a tour of the entire house, which is over 300 years old. SO COOL. I got to see the room where I'll get dressed and everything... I wish I'd gotten a picture of it, it's so full of feminine Colonial awesomeness!
