I was just wondering what the Jack Chick website was because I feel like it will help me. You see, I want to quit being a Catholic. Please give it to me. I know y'all want me to stay, but y'all are just too pagan and stuff. Please understand I need that website. To help me turn my life around.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jack Chick publishes tracts trying to show how ridiculous Catholic (and some other) beliefs are. I believe one is called the "Death Cookie" and refers to the Most Holy Eucharist. The only one I've seen is about Dungeons & Dragons where the characters in the tract, who play the game, are actually taught real magic once their game characters get to a high enough level.. As anyone who's played the game, or even read (or saw) Lord of the Rings knows, this doesn't happen, any more than actors in a Greek play actually worship the Greek gods. I really don't recommend reading them, unless it's to show to someone how ridiculous they are, and you need to be very strong in your faith before reading such blasphemous material.

Also, I would rather not link to the Chick site either; it is utter garbage. And what is so sad is that many people who are not very well instructed in the truth of the Catholic faith will fall victim of his trap and believe his lies and distortions.

I have seen and read Chick tracts, can't believe anyone with an intelligence level over that of a 6 year old would actually be influenced by them. They are UTTERLY silly!
Besides they spread two messages: "accept Jesus Christ as your saviour"... ok... hey, no problem with that and 'buy Chick tracts'. It's just an industry even pretending that Chick tracts are the only effective way of witnessing.
