I do not find this accurate. I have no soul or mind that exists or expands beyond my physical body. Spirituality is a lot like Values to me. Ephemeral and foggy.

lol....am I right to think that that is actually a paradox right there!:p

Why don't you believe that there is no God?

For the same reason that you likely do not believe in "no aliens". There just isn't any proof. There are however millions of people who do believe earth-hovering aliens. They have their faith just like any religion would.

I am fairly certain that there is no personal God working with humans, no bigfoot, no fairies, no elves, no ghosts, and no consciousness after death. But I cannot prove any of these things with certainty so I don't claim that they do not exist.

Though I have an atheist symbol in my profile, my primary philosophy is naturalism.

So: I strongly believe in matter and energy and the "laws" of nature. There is overwhelming observable, reliable, reproducible, and consistent evidence these entities exist.

But: I do not believe that any entities exist that are "outside" or "beyond" matter and energy. In the entire history of science, to my knowledge, no evidence of any such supernatural entity has ever been reliably, reproducibly or consistently observed.

Thus: I am, by logical extension, an evidence-based atheist as regards any supernatural diety. If one defines "God" as nature, then I'm an evidence-based theist.

IF: observable, reliable, reproducible, and consistent evidence of some supernatural phenomenon should ever occur, then I would certainly reconsider my position. And I would hope any intellectually honest theist would re-evaluate his position if such evidence contradicting his belief should occur.

Not sure if this means I'm a strong or weak atheist.

I think you misread the question.

No he didn't. You asked, "Why don't you believe God exists," and he responded, "Because I don't find the evidence convincing." Did he misread the question or have you simply decided to reject that answer because you don't like it?

EDIT: Oh. Marek, you ******* Come on, that's really not very nice :preach:
