  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We support Bishop Mulvey and pray for all.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Hebrews 13:17

"The sheep dog has no occupation separated from the chief shepherd or bishop. A dog that runs after the sheep on its own is not a true sheep dog, but rather we use another name for that canine… we call him a wolf" ~ Fr. Joseph Jenkins

The correct title for the feast is Corpus et Sanguis Christi , the Body and Blood of Christ . It is a celebration of the presence of the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist .

Before the Church calendar was reformed there used to be a feast on July 1st of the Precious Blood . In the reformed calendar we have the two feasts combined to make the feast now called the Body and Blood of Christ .

I've never heard that. Have you a reference? I looked and didn't see it anywhere.

We assume the Body and Blood are one. That much I knew.
