We should go out and Harvest the fields!

Superdave i don't read any of that "left behind" rubbish either , I think the only reason people today are taking notice of eschatology is because of the way the world is at the moment and the way it seems to be heading , I think it's only natural that people sit up and take notice of what's going on around them .
And there is no better time than now for people to study eschatology , I think most of the people here would agree with me .

No guys, it isn't planting the seeds. Do you harvest corn by planting seeds or do you harvest corn by pulling up the corn when it is ripe and ready to be harvested?

The Bible says, "the harvest is plenty but laborers are few." In most cases God's the one who plants the seeds in people in the first place. His Word plants a seed like nothing else on earth. Once you read some of it you keep coming back to it. Anyways "The Harvest" is the end of the world when the fields are ripen for Jesus to send forth His angel's to harvest the souls. The parable of wheat and tares explains this very well.

I guess superdave should have said we should be out planting seeds or watering the wheat because that's all we can do. God and His angels' will be doing the actual harvesting. The way I look at it is we are explained as plants by the Word for a reason. It's like we grow up in the flesh and when we bloom and are ripe God may pluck us from the earth when we have pollenated enough and completed our tasks.
