We prayed at lunch!

I have a few really religious friends. When I go out with them, we often say prayers before meals. I bow my head and listen, be respectful. I know they are doing it because the meal is blessed to them. They are celebrating having friends together for a meal. At Christmas time it's the same - they are giving the same thanks, why be disrespectful towards it? They only want the best for the meal, hope for peace in the season and whatnot.

Were they asking because they wanted to know if you were a Christian, or because they wanted to know if you could work Sundays or not?

My availability was already on my application.

The question wasn't necessary - the app said I was willing to work from open to close.
