The moderating teams really need new people so if you think you have time to offer - 5 hours a week is the minimum - then please think about applying.

The team that oversees this area, the Congregational Area, is the Congregational Team.

It doesn't matter if you have no idea what moderating involves or how to find your way around the forum, we'll train you.

The requirements for applying are that you should have at least 200 posts in the last 3 months, with a number of substantial posts.

Look forward to seeing you there!

If you want to know anything else, you can either post in here, pm me or any other member of staff. We'll be happy to answer any questions.

Unfortunately, asking in this subsection is somewhat fruitless. Nearly every poster of significant length of time at CF here in this subsection has been a mod at one point or another. Only those who haven't been here for but a snapshot in time haven't been a mod yet. Anyone who holds a more Judaic centric view (in MJ'ism there is a spectrum that runs from the far end of Judaic to the far end of Christian) tends not to last very long as a mod.

Believe your own Bible.

Sorry, although I may qualify, I've just not got the time!

He he! Just looked at the links and found that Admins have to administrate - that sounds very painful indeed!

The verb needed is 'administer' - it is the verb form of administration or administrator.

Administrate is a not a verb and so cannot actually be 'done'.

Im here Ive lasted and I administrate^_^

actually its a lot of fun:thumbsup:

Corruption of the language. Administrators administer (the verb), not administrate. You have lasted and you are an administrator (your job title) who administers (the task your job title requires).

Next thing we know we shall have Ministers of Religion who ministrate instead of minister!!!! Or Pastors who pastorate instead of pastoring. :D

i've seen those :))) and pastorate would be putting it mildly ... proper English is surely not my strengh, but i feel your pain dear Tishri, and while i dotn qualify /have time yet, i suggest we in the meantime establish citizens police.
"Neigborhood watch" so to speak. We can watch over each other. We are so loving like a bunch of doves.
Just let us have our monuments and dont remove them ;)

We have them - those who press the red button at the top right of the box, often without the common courtesy of even sending the offender a PM to explain why the post needed to be reported! No, no more state police, I mean Citizens' Police,we lose too many posters to their antics.

Oh, my !! NO, then no, of course, to such! I didnt know that. Boo:( those

I never even seen the button. I meant the old fashioned way - someone is misbehaiving, Heber Contra and whoever else we have for tough boys takes him to the woodshed. Vitually, but painfully. Done.

Well now, looking at the above posts, I thought we not supposed to judge each other, according to another thread debate! :D
^_^ Good one!

I don't believe I've ever actually seen that subject debated on a theology forum before, and I've been doing the theology forum thing for over a decade now. Nor have I ever known anyone to hold the opinion that we should never judge others under any circumstances. Probably because the Bible is so clear on it, it's not debateable. Strange indeed.
