The moderating teams really need new people so if you think you have time to offer - 5 hours a week is the minimum - then please think about applying.

The team that oversees this area, the Congregational Area, is the Congregational Team.

It doesn't matter if you have no idea what moderating involves or how to find your way around the forum, we'll train you.

The requirements for applying are that you should have at least 200 posts in the last 3 months, with a number of substantial posts.

Look forward to seeing you there!

If you want to know anything else, you can either post in here, pm me or any other member of staff. We'll be happy to answer any questions.

This question?

  1. One of the other things about being a moderator is that we are to remain neutral in the forums that we moderate. Can you maintain a neutral stance, even if you personally disagree?
It means we can only judge based on the forum rules and procedures and not on our personal doctrines or beliefs.

if you read all of it and at the bottom:

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins**. (Ephesians 4:5; Acts 2:38)
I look for the resurrection of the dead, (John 11:24; 1Corinthians 15:12-49; Hebrews 6:2; Revelation 20:5)
and the life of the world to come. (Mark 10:29-30)
AMEN. (Psalm 106:48)

*The word "catholic" (literally, "complete," "universal," or "according to the whole") refers to the universal church of the Lord Jesus Christ and not necessarily or exclusively to any particular visible denomination, institution, or doctrine.

**May be interpreted as baptism is a matter of obedience and not a requirement for salvation or as a regenerating ordinance

You have to agree with the Nicene Creed to become a moderator. This crede is central to 99% of all Protestant or Catholic faiths.

I understand . which is why i was hesitant .

I think you could express concern over any particular point in your application. It is a discussion and you can ask about it. I have seen members accepted even though they have reservations about one or two particular points so long as they comply with the majority of it. You can always try and see. We'll be kind to you!
