  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yesterday, i was at the church and Renee stopped over, we started talking with a lady at our church ad the topic of our upcoming wedding came up. The lady said, "well, we may be in the last days, the Lord may return" I jokingly said, "hopefully not before the wedding" She then proceded to lecture us both about how wanting to be married instead of Jesus to come back and all believers should be more excited for his return than earthly affairs.

Yeah, worst "Jesus Juke" of all time.

I've never heard the term "Jesus Juke" but I'm sort of getting what it means.

I get annoyed with Christians who are thinking far too much of the end of the world and Christ's return. They always think it's right around the corner and they can hardly contain their excitement.

I tend to look at it more neutrally. I believe it's going to happen and that I'm prepared for it, but I'm neither excited nor afraid of it. There is far too much work living the gospel in the world today to be concerned about when exactly Christ will be returning.

And there is no reason to make any plans based on a return that we do not know when it will happen. Plan your life to live for God now, and if Jesus returns in the meantime. . . it doesn't matter anyway and you will be ready.
