We got a cube!

For our anniversarry, my husband got us a gamecube. We got metroid prime, Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, tube slider, and super monkey ball.
We will prob. get Animal Crossing soon. Thaks for all your reccomendations.
I just love pikmin! Any more reccomendations? I am looking for games with no scantily clad women, no good guys having to do magic spells etc., and no killing humans. The games I own gives you an idea of what I find acceptable. Thanks for the input. You guys are helpful.

NBA Street was fun right along with NFL street. oh wait did they make those only for the XBOX? i dont remember.

SUPER SMASH BROTHERS!!!!! BUY IT NOOOW!!!!!Luigi's Mansion was alright too, but it was short, I beat it in a week. Of course, I beat a lot of games in a week....

Sonic Adventure 2 was pretty good too, and Mario Kart Double Dash would probably fit your criterea as well.

Thanks guys, keep the reccomendations coming. I was thinking about Billy Hatcher, Ribbitking, Animal Crossing, and really looking for a racing game too. Any of you like or dislike those? Tell me more about Luigi's Mansion.
Also, in Super Smash Bros. do I have to kill humans or do magic spells?

Mario Kart Double Dash for sure. Mrs. and I loved that one. Don't forget to try out Pikmin 2 as well. Mrs. has been playing that one for a couple weeks now. I'd put in a vote for some of the Tony Hawk games, and Zelda games, but Zelda has magic in it.

FYI I just made a special equipment icon that is a Gamecube if you wanted to get one...I also made an XBOX and a PS2...I'm sportin' the X-bizzy right now...

Maybe Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. It features fast racing, puzzle-type situations, and treasure hunting. It's enjoyable. You can also look into Mario Party games as well. As recommended already, Super Smash Bros Melee should definitely be considered. I considered it to be the best party game of all time, which my friends and I have played since the release of the original in 1997. It contains no killing or magic. It is a fighting game, but it's more of a friendly fighter than anything, starring characters such as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Kirby, Samus, Donkey Kong, and many other Nintendo mascots.

Im currently working my way through Mario Sunshine at the moment, it is so much fun. Luigis mansion was fun also but as someone else said a little short.

Luigi's Mansion is a fairly comical game. It involves Luigi going around a haunted mansion he won in a contest he didn't enter. An old ghost hunter gives him a special vaccuum cleaner that is modfied for ghost capture. And that is the basic jist of the game until you get deeper into it. Its pretty fun, and although I tohught it was a bit short, it was definately enjoyable for the time in which I played it. YOu should be able to get it for a great price nowadays, so definately check it out if you want good clean fun games.

I'm assuming ya'll discussed this gift before he got it,right.Otherwise,he's a very brave man!

My recommendations are

Animal Crossing- #1 family game! All ages(reading required)
Beyond Good and Evil - Family adventure game (No blood, mild violence)
Sly 2: Band of Thieves -Fun platformer,beautiful environments (criminal mischief,mild violence)

I'm probably gonna be dismissed as an isolated kook, but... I was uncomfortable with Animal Crossing. It is sooooo steeped in materialism it's not even funny. If you "pay off your house", the next time you talk to the storekeeper, he asks if you want a larger one. You cannot refuse! You must buy a larger house, and go back into debt, because obviously everyone wants a larger house, and more stuff.

This is a little disconcerting, I think. I was uncomfortable with it.

I understand your point,but the fun in that game was acquiring "stuff" to furnish your house with.The house was never big enough to hold all your stuff,so you always desired a bigger house.I couldn't wait to pay off my smaller houses so I could get the next bigger size!Yeh,the debt was a drag,but that just propelled me to be a better fisherman and a better errand runner.I also knew Nook's store would get bigger and better with time. I can't agree with you here.I think you missed out on a wonderfull adventure.

Well, the thing is... What if you decide you don't want the "next bigger size"? The game doesn't allow for this. You can't just decide you're happy with what you've got.

My complaint isn't about the debt, but the underlying structure that you must always have the goal of getting a bigger house (and presumably more stuff).

Well, we got Billy Hatcher, Mario Kart, and super smash bros. I love mario kart! It is soo neat!
I do not like smash bros. melee at all. It seems like a jumbled mess of senseless violence. It is way to cluttered and looney toon hack everybody stuff. My hubby was dissappointed with it too.
We may keep Billy Hatcher. It has annoyining vocals and the music is not that good.
I appreciate seebs point about animal crossing. I am going to reconsider whether I want that.
How was Mario Party 4 and 5?

Yes, knight for God, we discussed buying the system beforehand. I love to watch hubby play games. It is one of my fave things to do with him.
