  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

[Exodus 19:5 KJV] "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine:"
[Exodus 19:6 KJV] "And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel." ********** Israel was promised to be a kingdom of priests if they keep the covenant. The church today, the body of Christ are never said to be priests or a holy nation.

Where does Revelation 1:6 say only that the twelve apostles are kings and priests? Taking verse 6 in the context of the previous two verses, the "us" refers to Christians,. It wasn't only the apostles whom Jesus Christ loved and washed from their sins in His blood (verse 5). So if the "us" in verse 5 means "all Christians, why would the same pronoun in verse 6 refer to the apostles?

(Rev 1:4) John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
(Rev 1:5) and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
(Rev 1:6) and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Similarly with Revelation 5:10, which together with 5:9 says:

(Rev 5:9) And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
(Rev 5:10) And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."

The apostles weren't "redeemed out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation."

Then we have Peter writing, not to his fellow apostles:

(1Pe 2:9) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

And read Matt 19:28 and Luke 22:30 and it speaks to Israel only. !!

Not sure how that answers my point about the context of the Revelation verses.
AND I RTEAL LIKE SOME OF YOUR ANSWERS but here are two !!

# 1 That Paul is the APOSTLES TO GENTILES !!

# 2 WROTE TO THE BODY of Christ !!

# 3. In Rom 1:1 Paul was SEPARATED. // APHORIZO. which means that BOUNDRIOS were set asnmd

Paul was LIMITED to only PREACH GOD'S GOSPEL

# 4 1. Cor 11:1 we are to BECOME IMITATOTRS. of ME . just as I. also am of Christ AND IN. THE GREEK the word

ME //. is EMPHATIC , MEANING ONLY ME and nom other and there also one in. 1 Cor 4:16. !!
