Good morning every one. I hope that your day is going well.
One thing that I've noticed is that there are quiet a few of us at Fab 40's who are at or just about the same age. I've got my 30 year class reunion coming up soon (class of 76). And once again I'm on the committee putting it all together. It's alot of work but it's also alot of fun. I was wondering if some of us could share some stories of class reunions or maybe you could give me some ideas.
I was kind of an "ugly duckling" in school and I didn't go to any reunions until the twenty year reunion. Well, I had mixed feelings about going to it. After I got there I felt better when I noticed that most of my classmates had gained more weight than I had LOL. But I had a really great time and to make a long story short, that evening I was presented with the award for "most changed". I helped with the 25 year reunion and it was a blast. Now I'm looking forward to the 30 year reunion.
I was wondering if any fo you had any thing you could share about your reunions it doen't have to be class of 76. God bless all of you.

Hey wfs I've been to two of my high school reunions, my 5th and 25th. I'm not certain that I'll go to mine this year. At the 5th I saw the same people getting drunk and disorderly. At the 25th I saw the same people getting drunk and disorderly. There are some people that it's good to see that I don't get to see often. I was pretty benign in high school. I see quite a few of my classmates here and there and work with some of them at DSP. I hope you have a good one

Hey Dawn. I know just what you mean. I don't drink or smoke myself. But some of them think they just have to drink. But there are quiet a few of my classmates who are Christian. And we don't have to get drunk and rowdy to have a good time. I see most of them around from time to time.

I went to the picnic of my 10 year, and went to the 20th. I also went to my 30th, and I had a blast! Of course, there were a few rowdy ones, the same ones who were rowdy in school. I was kind of a ugly duckling/wallflower type in school, myself. But working where I do, I have really become more of a people person, and I really enjoyed the party. They are going to have an 'all 70's' reunion this year during homecoming weekend, but I don't know if I will be able to make that. Too many of the kids will be asking off, and someone needs to run the store!

"Glory Days" when I hear about reunions.

Most of my friends, and hero's are dead or in Jail, one or two I an still close to and I never did like some of the cliques (don't get me wrong, I am now ashamed to say I was part of 1-2 myself) and could give a rip about seeing those people or listening to "did you know..." style gossip. You can only ooo and ahhh over so many grand children's pictures--

As for me and my house (I'm class of 76 too)
we are through with HS and/or reunions.

That sounds like fun, even though I won't be going to anymore. I went to the 1991 10-year one for me. And since I used to be a geek/freak myself, I had reinvented myself into a hot, wicked, Goddess that night; LOL!!!
Actually, long story, but I already has the black lace dress, shoes and accessories, the wild hair and makeup;
the night before at a "get re-aquainted" party at a local club, I found the perfect date, tall, dark and handsome, who just happened to have his black Harley and an extra helmet. He rented a tux and we were on our way. Needless to say, no one knew who I was, but I knew who they all were. And the funny thing is, I told everyone I had picked this guy up in Vegas...hehe!!
I didn't let go of my bad girl days so easily.
At least I have one good "High School" memory, even if it was 10 years later!!
