  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My dogs name is Nik. My sister named him.

One of my cats is named Kana. Kana is the Hawaiian word for 'Dawn', Dawn being the name of the person who gave her to me when we lived in Hawaii.

My other cats name is Seven. My friend, Dawn, has a little sister who's name we could never remember. My husband told her that he's so bad w/ names but if she were a number we'd remember it. We joked that we'd call her 'Seven', but it ended up sticking... we still don't know her real name. Anyway, when we brought home a little sister for Kana it was a given that she'd be named Seven.

i have four dogs, three of which have pretty ordinary names: st bernard -- Bella, beagle -- Penny Lane, golden retriever mix -- Dallas.

however, we have a pit bull named LUMP. my husband named him, b/c when we got him, he was full of worms and very sluggish. he's also jet black, so my husband thought he looked like a "lump of coal." however, now, he has a TON TON TON of energy, so people always think we're weird that we have such an energetic dog named "Lump."

Ok, one of my dogs has a very strange name.

Her name is Wincie...and here is why.

I am a huge goober ;) No really, LOL. Her name was originally Princess, and I used to sing a song about her to my kids while I was playing with them, because I am a geek like that and in the song, she was Princess Wincess. Then it got shortened to Wincess or Wince, because my kids thought it was funny, but then it just somehow became Wincie....and that is the only name she answers to now. I know it is a dumb story and a silly name, but it sure is original.

My other dog is named Fenway, because we are huge Red Sox fans. If we ever get another dog his/her name will be Patriot, because....well I am sure you can guess, since we are from New England.

Cody (he's technically Cody Bubba)- He's a blue merle Great Dane. I named him Cody after a TV show character that lived in a van. I might have watched too much Step by Step when I was younger. His middle name is "Bubba" because that is what the people I bought him from called him. I left it as his middle name simply as a tribute to where he came from, but I don't particularly care for the name. Cody doesn't live with me as my apartment doesn't allow it, but Mom doesn't mind! She has a picture of him on her keychain, but not the kids!

Lyle- He's a fawn Flemish Giant. He's the largest breed of domesticated rabbit. I nabbed his name from a Veggie Tales video... "Lyle the Kindly Viking." Lyle has been living with my fiance for a while.

My roommate has two tabbies-

Dave- She chose this because she wanted an ordinary name. He's a big lazy cat.

Fuzz- She's a yong kitten that I think would be great on commercials (I'm thinking the ones where they are eating out of glass dishes). She just looks like we should be serving her.
