Does anyone out there paint with watercolors?

I've done a bit but they're one of the trickier mediums. They're a style all of their own and can be pretty satisfying if you can master it but that can take a while. Painting in watercolour well is harder then it looks.

I've done some...its fun...i like how you can correct mistakes (to a certain extent). I just finished one today that i've been working on for a few weeks actually.

Watercolor is very fickle and quite tricky. But I love it. It's fun to work with, I especially like the tubes instead of the cakes. Watercolor and India Ink with White Acrylic is Fun. I very much enjoy working with these mediums together.

You guys is right. Watercolour is kinda hard. I have Watercolor pencils and Gouache and some of my pics look like crud whenever I rush. I should buy acrylics.

Watercolor was the only art class I ever took. And I enjoyed it, but it is a fast and exacting medium. If you do that wash wrong, etc. it seems set for life.

I will consider scanning some of my ancient stuff and posting, but I haven't done watercolor in a while. The wifey on the other hand has a number of nice watercolors.

I do most of my painting on the computer now. It is less messy, just as fast, and lets you change mistakes!

I often use acrylics as if they were watercolor. If you don't use white, acrylic watercolor is even less forgiving than regular watercolor though, because you can't lift the paint once it's dry. And that paper grabs it quickly.
