Water droplet on my cheek from nowhere

Hi Fellow Christians,
I have a question and I hope somebody can tell me what this means. My son died in 1998 from an automobile accident. I was standing on the deck strongly thinking and grieving for him. I was just standing there and a drop of water fell on my cheek. It wasn't raining so that rules that out. If somebody knows please let me know!

I mean, it seems to me like it could be a sympathy thing, like God's sympathetic to your pain. It could also be coincidence. That's the best I've got, sorry.

I don't know for sure. But our God is sympathetic and He loves you very much and He wants you to know that, Water drop or not. :]

I have experienced that sort of water drop many times. It is always pleasantly surprising but it is entirely natural.

Since rain is simply condensed water vapor falling back down to earth, lone droplets without rain wouldn't be out of the ordinary. This has happened to me at times, a drop of water falling on my arm, or on the top of my head, or face--without it actually raining.

I don't want to ruin whatever joy you may have received from the experience, especially in light of the pain from losing a child; but I also feel it is important to point out that such things are completely natural and have natural explanations. Maybe God, in all His wonderful and infinite wisdom, love, and providence used a lone droplet of water to help you as part of your emotional healing--I wouldn't want to rule that out, but neither would I want to encourage someone to read too deeply into such things.

Was this Gods tears? Answer: probably not.
That doesnt mean God ignores your pain: no He loves you and cries with you.

On a different note Im sad to hear about your sorrow. I read its twenty years ago, but no one should be forced to bury their children.
You aswell as your son is in my prayers.

Welcome to Christian Forums, Sabre. I don't know what caused the water drop, but perhaps a single raindrop fell from the sky. It might happen all the time. I can remember times I was struck by a drop of water.

Not long ago I was standing outside in perfect weather with not a cloud anywhere in the sky and a big drop of water hit me in the face. I did actually wonder if it was a bird that had plattered me. No, looked like clean water.

Whatever the droplet was, it fell upon your cheek by God's providence. Job 36:27
God takes careful note of our sorrow. Exodus 3:7
And He uses such tender tokens of His kindness to preserve us in our sorrows. Isaiah 42:3

I pray that in the midst of your grief, you may you know the peace of God which passes all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7
