While baptism by fire is through accepting Christ and you way into heaven, water baptism, at least for me, was my billboard to the world that I accept Christ as Lord and Savior.
I truly felt the heavy water washing off my face as if it was a cleansing. To each his own, but it's a wonderful decision and confirmation of faith.
