Watch the wikis!

Just wanted to give the folks in this forum a "heads up" to watch the wikis, as any mention of a crime will have to be removed as of the next snapshot, unless Erwin changes his mind.

Erwin has decreed that nothing illegal may be discussed at all anywhere on CF. I presume this means much of this forum will have to be deleted.

I've read most of the posts from the one you linked to the most recent. This is all quite baffling to me. I composed a long reply, but lost it when it wouldn't let me post my questions on the WIKI discussion... 5 more posts and I will be able to, and you'd better believe I will. I can understand not allowing posts that condone, or encourage illegal activity, but to not be allowed to discuss anything illegal at all. As another person pointed out on that thread -- we couldn't even discuss a lot of things in the Bible itself if that's the case!

Talk about ridiculous!

I hope those with more postings that I will become aware of this and speak up. I understand Erwin perhaps needing to protect himself, but discussion of illegal activities is NOT a liability as far as I know... I really hope this is a misunderstanding and much ado about nothing...

Erwin has absolutely no intention of closing down this area of CF.

The restriction will be reworded I am sure but for now he has clarified his intention here: http://www.christianforums.com/showpost.php?p=37453455&postcount=14

For those who don't want to visit that link, he states that his intention was that the topic of illegal events could occur, but that one could not promote illegal behavior or discuss how to do it, etc.

I encourage the members of this forum area to write in Recovery Wiki something about how in Recovery members can discuss being the victim of a crime but can not encourage others to commit a crime. Please put your discussion of this situation in our Recovery wiki so that this area of CF can remain on topic to recovery topics and not to CF issues.
